THREE WAY FIGHT

With less than 3 months remaining until the conclusion of the Premier League, the title is being fought out between Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City but some other clubs are fighting just to stay out of the bottom relegation zone, which is the case of West Ham United.

West Ham United has recently suffered defeats against Manchester United Stoke City and Everton which has disabled them from getting into the top 10 spots of the English league but according to Stewart Downing, he believes the squad is capable on ending the league on the higher section of the standings.

“We’re not out of the water yet and we need points as quickly as we can. I think that realistically tenth place is a good place for us to aim for. We know that a couple of wins can get us there and above the teams around us, and I believe we have one hell of a chance to get there.” Downing stated.

While it still remains highly possible for West Ham United to steer clear out of the bottom relegation zone, it will be a huge mountain for the team of Sam Allardyce to climb if they want to get into the top 10 spots of the league.

There are 7 matches that West Ham still have left to play before the season ends and they have a pretty tough schedule lying ahead of them with matches against Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester City, all waiting for them in the last few weeks of the campaign.

A few months ago Andy Carroll recovered from an injury which had kept him out of action for a significant amount of time and the £15 million man is going to be expected to push his team forward for the remaining matches of the season and he will have to perform well if Stewart Downing wants West Ham to finish at the top 10 spots of the Premier League.
